Terms and conditions
Welcome to Croydon Sports Massage. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of the services provided.
By accessing or using these services, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you should not proceed with treatment or bookings.
Scope of services
Croydon Sports Massage provides treatment for individuals seeking relief from musculoskeletal pain and related conditions. Treatments may include – but are not limited to – sports massage, dry needling, assisted stretching, mobilisations and pregnancy massage.
Appointment booking
Appointments can be booked through the website, by phone or in person.
Important information
Croydon Sports Massage is owned and operated by a sole practitioner. All treatments are provided by Greg – a fully qualified and insured male massage therapist. If you have any concerns or preferences you’d like to discuss before booking, please feel free to get in touch.
Accessibility and on-site considerations
The treatment room is located on the first floor and may not be accessible to those with reduced mobility. A dog resides on the property – the dog is securely kept away and never enters the treatment room. If either of these factors affects your ability to attend, please consider booking a mobile appointment or get in touch to discuss alternative arrangements.
Parking
Parking is paid between 9:00–17:00, Monday to Saturday (including Bank Holidays), and free all day on Sundays. Several bays are available within a minute’s walk of the property. Payment is made via the RingGo app or by phone – full details are on the signage next to the appropriate bays. I’ll always try to remind you, but it’s your responsibility to make sure payment is covered.
Mobile appointments
For mobile appointments, the time allocated includes both setup and pack-down. Please ensure the location is accessible at the scheduled time to allow for efficient setup.
Client responsibilities
Clients are expected to provide accurate and complete information about their medical history, current health and any relevant concerns or conditions. A non-exhaustive list of contraindications can be found here. It is your responsibility to follow any guidance given before, during and after treatment, and to inform Greg of any pain, discomfort or changes to your condition during the session. Some discomfort is not uncommon during or after treatment – this will be discussed and monitored throughout.
Therapist responsibilities
Greg is trained and experienced in a range of soft tissue techniques, including sports massage, dry needling, assisted stretching and mobilisations. Each session will begin with a short consultation to better understand your needs and tailor the treatment accordingly. Professionalism and ethical standards will be maintained at all times. Post-treatment responses can vary – a list of possible contra-actions and aftercare advice is available here.
Confidentiality
Client information – including personal details and medical history – will be treated with strict confidentiality and will not be shared without your consent, except where required by law.
Payment and fees
More often than not, payment is made in advance to secure the appointment – unless the booking is made via email, phone or in person. BACS and card payments are accepted. With your permission, card details may be stored securely. All fees are non-refundable unless outlined in a separate refund policy.
Liability
While every effort is made to deliver safe and effective treatment, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with soft tissue therapy. Croydon Sports Massage and Greg Firth shall not be liable for injuries, adverse effects or losses arising from treatment – except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Code of conduct
Clients are expected to behave respectfully and appropriately at all times. Any form of misconduct, harassment or inappropriate behaviour will result in the immediate termination of the session and future services may be refused.
Cancellation policy
A minimum of two (2) days’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations will be charged at the full session rate to the card on file.
Notification of cancellation
Please provide at least two (2) days’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling to allow others on the waiting list the opportunity to book.
Late cancellations
Cancellations made with less than two (2) days’ notice are considered late and are subject to the full session fee.
Exceptions
In exceptional circumstances – such as emergencies – the cancellation policy may be waived at Greg’s discretion.
Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule, please do so as early as possible. Efforts will be made to accommodate changes, subject to availability.
Refunds
Refunds will not be issued for missed appointments or cancellations made within the two-day window.
Policy acceptance
By booking an appointment, you confirm that you understand and agree to these terms and conditions.
